Sports are very pleased to announce that phase 1 of the floodlight installation is set to finish by the end of the week. As you can see from the photographs here, the 3 phase electrical supply has been connected up to Addison Road mains and should be connected up to the electrical kiosk over the next few days.

We are indebted to Joe Sullivan (local football stalwart) for his efforts at the ground. Not only has he been the main man behind all of the groundwork for the car parks, hard standing and fencing; he has now turned his hand to bricklayer to build the housing seen in the image. I am not sure how we would have got it done without him!

The image you see in this link is from Brimscombe and Thrupp now in the Hellenic Premier division. A similar light system to the one in the picture will be installed at Addison Road by Musco Lighting. The floodlight system is ordered and so more announcements on the completion date should be forthcoming over the next few weeks.

ESFC have applied to be in the FA Vase for the 2017/18 season and floodlights are the last of the stumbling blocks restricting our access to national competitions. Sports will need to have the floodlights in place ready for a ground inspection before the FA will accept the application.
