Tommy Kinch has confirmed that he will be stepping down from first team duties this week. Manager Ben Milner moved quickly to bring the ex Banbury United and Ardley United player into his management set up during the close season and Sports were delighted with his appointment as Assistant Manager. Unfortunately Tommy's personal circumstances have changed since the appointment and he was unable to make the full commitment to first team responsibilities as he had hoped at the start of the season. Everybody at Easington Sports would like to thank Tommy for his efforts and we are sure we will see him back watching first team matches at Addison Road between now and the end of the season.
Whilst Sports were naturally disappointed to see Tommy leave the management team, at the same time, they are delighted to announce that Matt Giles has decided to take up the Assistant Manager's role on a permanent basis after stepping in to help Ben in recent weeks. "Gilo" left the club to become the assistant manager at Redditch United but now returns to Easington after deciding to step down from his position earlier in the season. Steve Prentice and Ali Robinson remain as first team coaches and Ali Whitrow completes the first team management group.
In other news, Joe Coleman returns to first team action for Easington this weekend. Joe had a brief spell with Sports last season after recovering from serious knee injuries. The talented midfielder returns to the club from Southern League side Kidlington FC and will be a very welcome addition as Sports continue to push for promotion and good cup runs this season.
Sports are at home again this weekend in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup against Freeland.
Kick off 2pm and entrance for just £3.
BT football on in the bar afterwards - Spurs Vs Chelsea and so a good afternoon of sport on offer at Addison Road this weekend.
