Sports are now unbeaten in 3 matches after a well deserved victory against Bugbrooke St Michael FC.
Josh Yeboah (pictured) celebrated making his first start for the Clan with the decisive goal in the first half that ultimately lead to all 3 points. Josh was a prolific goalscorer at youth level at Kidderminster Harriers and he certainly demonstrated his eye for goal scoring from the only clear cut chance he had in the game. Yeboah did well to stay on his feet after being pulled back in the box, the referee played the advantage and a ricochet back off the keeper was bundled over the line by our new striker to give Sports the lead.
On a bobbly pitch that had the look of an end of season pitch due to all the dry weather, Sports battled hard and worked to hold on for the result.
Confidence and momentum is beginning to build in this new look side and this will be tested over the weekend. March Town and Atherstone Town are the fixtures for the bank holiday weekend and both teams will be pushing for play offs or outright promotion. Both sides will therefore be a tough test for Sports and so do come down and offer the team some support. Perhaps a great weekend to get to know some of the new players!
Manager Andy Sharman will have players back from family holidays and so more competition for places.
